About Us
3Cs Parent Connections is a Colorado-based agency dedicated to one thing above all else: the safety, stability, and well-being of children. We work with parents, families, and individuals navigating some of life's most challenging circumstances; from child welfare involvement and family separation to trauma, reunification, and everything in between. Our team of trained, licensed, and experienced professionals shows up for families with compassion, without judgment, and with a genuine commitment to helping children thrive in safe and loving homes. We believe that strong families are built, and that with the right support, tools, and guidance, every family has the potential to grow.
Our Mission
Our services aim to protect children's physical, emotional, and mental well-being. We work to equip caregivers with the tools and knowledge they need to build safe, healthy relationships with their children and with each other. By building parenting skills, providing meaningful support, and sharing knowledge, we work to minimize risk and create environments where children can grow up feeling safe, stable, and loved.
For families, our goal is to increase parents' skills and confidence so they can be a strong support to their children while also maintaining their own emotional and mental well-being. We help families develop the relationships and skills needed to ensure children can remain safely in their homes and thrive there.
The 3Cs
The name 3Cs Parent Connections isn't just a name — it represents the three pillars that guide everything we do and every family we serve.
Connection
"The parent-child connection is the most powerful mental health intervention known to mankind."
— Bessel van der Kolk
Connection is at the foundation of everything. Research tells us what our hearts already know; strong, meaningful connections are essential to our health, our happiness, and our ability to thrive. For children especially, the parent-child bond is one of the most powerful forces in shaping their wellbeing. At 3Cs, everything we do is centered on building, strengthening, and protecting those connections.
Communication
"Communication is to relationships what breath is to life."
— Virginia Satir
Communication is in our DNA, but the skills to communicate effectively, especially in moments of stress and heightened emotion, must be learned and practiced. We help parents develop the tools to regulate their own emotions so they can show up fully for their children when it matters most. Because when parents and children can truly hear each other, everything changes.
Cooperation
"To get cooperation, you must give cooperation. Always seek to find the best way rather than insisting on your own way."
— John Wooden
Cooperation builds trust. It creates families where every member feels heard, valued, and supported. At 3Cs, we help families find common ground, work through conflict, and build the kind of cooperative relationships that allow children to feel safe and loved, and parents to feel confident and capable.
Who We Serve
We serve children and families from all walks of life. Our clients range in age from 5 to 99 years old and come from a wide variety of backgrounds, circumstances, and experiences. We work with:
Families involved in the child welfare system navigating supervised parenting time, reunification, and DHS service plans. Parents facing difficulties who need coaching, education, or therapeutic support. Families working through the challenges of divorce, separation, and custody disputes. Children and adults processing trauma and building resilience. Foster, kinship, and adoptive families navigating the unique challenges of caring for children who have experienced loss and separation.
We proudly serve clients of all socioeconomic statuses, races, ethnicities, nationalities, ages, abilities, education levels, marital statuses, genders, and sexual orientations. We are LGBTQIA+ informed and culturally responsive in everything we do. Many of our services are also available bilingually in Spanish, and we provide specialized support for medically fragile children and children with various neurodivergences.
Our Approach
Everything we do is grounded in trauma-informed, strengths-based, and evidence-based practice. We recognize that adversity leaves a mark, on children and on families, and we approach every situation with that understanding at the forefront.
We prioritize safety, trust, collaboration, and respect in every interaction. Rather than focusing on what families are doing wrong, we focus on building on what they're already doing right. We partner with families, case professionals, and community providers to strengthen protective factors, support healthy parent-child relationships, and work toward safe, successful reunification whenever it is appropriate and in the best interest of the child.
Our services are supported by evidence-based curriculum selected through the Title IV-E Prevention Services Clearinghouse, and incorporate a variety of functioning assessments and clinician evaluations. Every service plan is further individualized to reflect the unique needs and goals identified by each family during intake, because no two families are exactly alike, and neither is the support we provide.
